Los Angeles - Las Vegas - Death Valley - Mammoth Lakes - Yosemite - San Francisco - Hawaii
14 days and 3 states. Beaches, glamour, hot sun, beautiful vistas; unforgettable amuzement for kids and their parents...
Ocean cliffs, turquoise waves, sandy deserts amazing nationap parks. Join us on this fantastc trip to visit places not once you have seen in your favourite movies – trully a trip that will take you to the most visited spots in the USA!
Why you must join us:
We will start our adventure at famous Los Angeles, the City of Angels. Metro area with rich history and heritage also known as the Creative Capital of the World has more galleries and museums that any other city in the US! Museum of Contemporary Art, Getty Centre, LA County Museum of Art are some of the most important ones in the county. LA is also a moviemaking centre, huge industrial area and one of the major ports in the world.
Beautifuly set up on the oceans coast, right by the LA river – its location is perfect for relaxing and enjoying beautiful beaches – palm trees and colorful drinks are quite a magnet for stars of all formats. Sunset Boulevard is definitely the place to touch the stars, especially those carved in the pavement stone!
Hollywood is one of the best known quarters of Los Angeles. Once a place where all the famous actors were easy to spot and the place of the well known Movie Studios. Nowadays a symbol of the movie history, especially on the Walk of Fame with 240 movie stars embedded into the pavement with its Kodak Centre, where each year the Oscar Awards are given out.
The Hollywood sign – the most well known orientation post in the world. 14 meter high and 110 meter long sign HOLLYWOOD was raised in 1923. It was to be an ad for a local residential development but it became one of the symbols of America. Interesting fact is that originally the sign wrote: HOLLYWOODLAND but the -LAND wa removed in 1944. Burned and otherwise destroyed many times, now it is thought to be better guarded than Fort Knox!
Malibu and Bevery Hills are the sinonims of luxury – those parts of the town are crawling with those most privilaged financially. Malibu mostly known for its pretty beaches and famous resients where Beverly Hills is famuos for its Rodeo Drive with most expensive and stylish shops.
The next attracion will be a visit at absolutely breathtaking amusment park Universal Studios! It is here that many well known movies were shot! Besides mega interesting movie set ride, huge and bizzare computer - mechanised scenes used in film making (you will encounter a flood in a subway, King Kongs attack, meeting with a real Mummy, log river ride (wet!), Waterworld, robot fights and you will even see 'the sea", where parts of the Pirates of the Carribean were taken) one can also use many more different rides, swings, slides, restaurants and coffee shops with movie themes - a true movie paradise! Today evening, we can guarantee, the kids will have a good night sleep!
VIVA LAS VEGAS!
Most populous of all Nevada cities, set up in 1905 by notoruis gangster Bugsy Siegel. Known for its many casinos and mind blowing neon lights. The only place in the world where one can visit Venice, Paris, Egypt and New York within 1 hour!
Most important part of town is obviously Las Vegas Boulevard – 8km long street running right through the heart of the city – the STRIP, as it is called, can be seen even from the space!
„What happens in vegas stays in vegas...”
The capital of hazard, city of the sin and YOU here! Not only gambling with make your visit here worthwhile – how about a visit at the Grand Canyon? Take a short scenic flight there and have a walk along the western rim – what a treat!
Another fantastic attraction will be attending a spectacular show at the famus Bellagio Theatre where a totally mistical, coloroful and highly enjoyabe show will await - the 'O”! Right after the show you can enjoy yet another visual pleasure admiring the great fountains dancing to the rythm of the music right in front of your eyes! The music, the water, the lights – top show and it is free!
Death Valley took its rather sad name from many miners who lost their lives digging up the desert looking for minerals here. Now we enjoy the spectacular beauty of this land. Desert with many shapes and colours will make a lasting impression on anyone..
The Death Valley is a stoney desert with lowest place in the entire western himisphere - Badwater, which lies 86m below sea level. It is the driest place in America and one of the hottest as well! In the summer, the temperatures can reach up to 57C and the sand below your feet can reach astonishing 100C! Take lots of water and sun protection with you!
The Valley is not as sad as the name itself. Artist Palette and Artist Drive are for example places, where both the sand the the rocks look as if someone painted them with coloroful brushes!
Mammoth Lakes and Yosemite National Park will amaze you with stunnig vistas, cristal clear water and rare and beautiful flora and fauna!
Mammoth Lakes: in the winter - fantastic ski resort, in the summer - pristine place to take walks and breath in the purest air on the planete Earth! Lakes Devils Postpile (basalt columns made of slow cooling lava) and Rainbow Fall are the must see places in the area. My personal favourite is a trip around Lake June!
Yosemite National Park is organised on 3030km2 and has its place on UNESCO World Heritage Site list. Dramatic drop offs, pure and pristine clean streams, waterfalls and huge congregations of sequoia trees - all can be found here. The park is known for its huge count of waterfalls which often sport spectacular rainbows. The highest one is the Yosemite Waterfall, which at 739m is the highest fall in the USA. On the soutern site we can find Mariposa Grove well known for the huge sequoia forrest with the most famous one Grizzly Giant 2700 years old, 65m tall and astonishing 9m in diameter!
San Francisco - last place you will see on the continental part of the USA. Picturesque town surrounded by water: Pacific Ocean to the west and San Francisco Bay to the north and east. The City of Fogg with reach history had risen like a phoenix from the ashes after the 1906 earthquake turned most of the city into ruin and many day lasting fires took whatever had left standing. Quickly rebuilt with great pride - celebrated its new beginnig already in 1915!
One of the most recognizable monuments at the bay is the Golden Gate Bridge. It had been built between 1933 and 1937 and for over 20 years it had the title of the longest hanging bridge in the world. The construction took many builders lives and was slowed down by thick fogg and strong currents frequently found here. It is also called the Suisadal Bridge as at least 835 people commited suiside jumping over its fence. Otherwise it is a beautiful site :) From its very begining it was painted orange which not only protects it from corrosion but also makes it more visible to the passing underneath ships.
Although the citizens od San Francisco went through a lot of hard shipm they are generally considered as fun and easy going!
SF hosts many other great places to visit: Alcatraz, the famous NO ESCAPE prison - the Pelican Island where it is based was chosen for one of the hardest prosons on Earth, hosting many heavy offenders. Even Al Capone himself had 'the pleasure' of living here :)
Another worth seeing place is the worlds largest Chinatown - colourful and with many great restauranst!
No visit to San Francisco can be completed without a ride on famous cult trams, also known as Cable Cars. They have been cruising the streets of this town since 1873 serving the local population and turists alike from then on.
Last day on the continent you shall spend visiting Muir Woods National Monument, where some of the most amazing trees from sequoia family are found - the Coastal Redwood trees make this place trully stunning - ideal end to our trip in one of the most beautuful places in the USA. Afternoon flight to Honolulu!
Hawaii will greet you with its turquise waters and most beautiful beaches with the most famous Waikiki Beach! Also, quite near by there is a crater of extinct volcano called Diamond Head. How about a trekking up its walls?
The islands of Hawaii are not only hula dances and palm trees swinging gently in the wind. Some must see places are definitely Pearl Harbour Memorial, which is am important place of USA history - this is where the II WW started for the Americans. Many movies were shot about this place and time - they show quite a unique view of the war from Pacific perspective...
